It's that time of year again, the one where spring is clearly on its way because our tomatoes are sprouting! This year we're doing things a bit differently, and that means watering the garden on a daily basis instead of hoping that Marzieh's intermittent hosing (with the hose; no innuendo intended) will do the job. So hopefully we will have some veggies that don't just start growing right before the first frost of the season and then turn to soggy mush overnight. (It was very sad coaxing our darling lone capsicum daily only to have it collapse in on itself sometime in October.)

i need to get out in my garden too! theres the annual removal of the bags of dog poo stuffed in the hedge over the winter months by local dog walkers, the weeding/raking/flower planting i've been meaning to do for, er, three years, and the three foot stone japanese naked geisha statue i've been promising my neighbour i'd paint for him; he brought it back from oversea's years ago when he was in the military and he's decided i'm artistic after i drew a huge green monkey in chalk a couple of years ago for someones birthday on our patio!
