isn't feivel the name of the intrepid boy mouse in An American Tail? this felt like a good sign (pun actually unintended) when i walked to the embassy from the tel aviv train station this morning. and it made me smile, because shaun thinks that the cadence of my voice is like feivel's when i say "AmAIRrreeka!"

interactive street sculpture.

such a bright little orange!

a pink weed i have not seen before.

tiiiiiiiiiinY little pansies?

ingenious. you can always tell which apartments are undergoing renovations here, because they're given away by the BIG COLOURFUL SNAKE BUCKETS trailing out a balcony to the street.

eye-catching supermarket-building design.

a parking lot. guarded by feirce (albeit plastic) lions.

street-gazer.

proud to be israeli.

like bottled water needs to be advertised.

tel aviv is fun. much funner than last week.
because i got my visa!
i think i skipped and smiled the whole way back to the train station.
